Vaccination Schedule

This is your one stop source of trusted Vaccine and immune support Information.

Choosing a vaccine schedule? Be at ease knowing you are doing the best for your children and your family.

With the birth of my first son I embarked on a new adventure: feeding, development, diapering, bedtime routines... At times felt I was back in school, so many subjects to master!

When it came to immunizations I just assumed it was one more mommy duty I had to fulfill; my mom vaccinated me to protect me so I was clearly doing the same for my child. Now, as I started looking for vaccine information such as questions to ask your doctor, schedules and reinforcements I ran into tons of very scary information. Talks about risks, deaths and autism left me very confused and scared. It wasn’t such an obvious move after all!

At the time I was also interviewing pediatricians so I asked them about the topic but I came out with different answers each time. Now what?

I consulted with more doctors, attended conferences, read books promoting vaccination, books against vaccination, written by doctors, written by moms. I researched, contrasted and confirm information on the web. All that in a hurry as my baby was due in less than 5 months (and he came 2 weeks early...)

I asked one of my pediatricians, almost out of desperation during an interview:

-Well, What would YOU do if it was your kid? The answer?

...” I would research and educate myself to ensure I make the decision that is right for me and my family.”....

Oh, great!

Well, that was coming from a doctor's mouth and that is what I did then and continue to do today because vaccination decisions begin at birth but need to be revisited on several milestones.

I made a series of decisions at birth and I went back on the research/read/listen/ interview wagon when he started preschool. I noticed this time it was much, much easier, I had organized all the information and I had learn what to do with it!

I also learned vaccination is a personal decision, actually a set of personal decisions: The right path for one family is not necessarily what another family should do for immune support. No wonder my pediatrician could not answer for me; I have often helped friends make decisions almost opposite to mine. Your specific living situation, your parenting style and overall lifestyle and even your personal beliefs will come into play.

And now I am bringing the same organized information to you on this website. It is still a lot to be covered, but there is no need to navigate the waves of information (and disinformation) alone, specially when it relates to our children's health.

You will learn about vaccine requirements, effectiveness and safety, but this time you can have a guide to take you through the process, a system to make vaccine decisions that will leave you at ease knowing you are doing what is best for your family.
